How to Create Custom Chess Opening Books Using Chesspartner Software
ChessPartner is a chess-playing interface that allows the user to play games, analyze positions, study openings or compete on the Internet using its powerful engines. The interface is fully customizable, allowing you to modify or create opening books. This can be lots of fun, because you can make the engine play gambit openings or crazy lines that are not included in the stock books.

Go to "File > Book Maintenance > New Book." When the book box appears, type in a name for your book and click "OK."

Hit the icon at the top of the screen that looks like a storm cloud with a lightning bolt coming out of it to enter analyze mode, and set the game to Start position. Now enter the opening moves you want to be in the book by moving the pieces around the board.

Go to "File > Book Maintenance > Add Variation." Fill in the blanks inside the box, such as if this opening should be played by black or white, and a score. It is recommended to type in the score that the engine has the position at in analyze mode. Click "OK"; that line will be entered into the new opening book.

Tips & Warnings
To continue adding lines to the book, whenever the engine encounters different moves, Go to "File > Book Maintenance > Add Variation." The more variations and moves in the book, the more comprehensive it will be.
