Things You'll Need:
- paper
- pen
- a life
- goals/things to do
-
Step 1
If you have a ton of things to do and don't know where to start, or have goals you want to accomplish, a to-do list is the best thing to create to not only prioritize your "to-do" items but it allows for a sense of achievement once you complete a task and cross it off the list.
-
Step 2
The first thing is to make your list (using a pen, paper and your thoughts). This list can be as simple as doing your laundry to starting a workout regimen. It's important to put down as many things as you can think of because although it may seem ridiculous, once you finish even one item, crossing it off gives you a positive feeling.
-
Step 3
When you make the list, make sure to differentiate between long and short term goals and tasks. Obviously, you won't be able to lose 30lbs. in a week and it shouldn't take you a month to walk the dog. Establish time frames for each task and progress accordingly. This also helps in prioritizing as well.
-
Step 4
Once you've written out your list and set up time frames, start with the item you want. It doesn't always have to be in any particular order (you've already established priority). At this point it's a free for all.
