The addition of this seafood, which is low in fat and calories, can bring a rich and zesty taste to your pasta salad, especially with the added punch of the horseradish. Things You'll Need

  • 1 lb. jumbo shrimp (cooked, tails off)
  • 1 lb. macaroni
  • 1 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tbsp. horseradish
  • Large pot

Instructions

      Fill a pot halfway with water and place on the stove top. Bring to a boil. Add macaroni and boil for five to seven minutes. Remove and drain the macaroni. Allow it to cool for about an hour or refrigerate it to speed the process.

      Place cooked macaroni in a large mixing bowl. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, mayonnaise, horseradish and diced olives. Mix well.

      Add your cooked shrimp to the macaroni and mix well. Chill macaroni salad for at least an hour before serving.

Tips & Warnings

  • As a garnish, sprinkle some parsley or paprika on the finished product. For crunch, add diced celery and/or carrots, if desired.
