Things You'll Need:
- to geniunely want to help with increasing a grocery worker's salary
-
Step 1
Take small change with you when going grocery shopping. Fifty cents even may not sound like much, but it shows appreciation to the grocery packer. It is hard work and many people if they leave a tip will give their pennies or the change from the bill that is sometimes as little as sixteen cents.
-
Step 2
Intentionally use cash to purchase food or an item from the supermarket you frequent at least once a month, this way you will not have an excuse not to give a tip. Look for the grocer packers that normally pack your food and give them each a tip. Determine whether you want to give them a dollar or more each at least once a month.
-
Step 3
During the holidays is a good time to give a generous tip to your main grocery packers. A tip of even five dollars during the holiday in many cases will help for care fare for a day. Not all grocer packers live in the neighborhood they are working.
-
Step 4
These are a few tips you may want to consider doing to help out grocery packing employees. It doesn't of course have to be just money. Think of something unique to do that can benefit them maybe more than once or give them a special treat by finding out maybe when their birthday is or by just doing something special for them during holiday seasons.

on 12/6/2008 Ditto. I didn't know you could tip baggers. Some stores won't allow you to. Check with the store beforehand. Good idea, though. I used to be a bagger for all of a week:)
