Here is a good recipe on how to make a delicious cake, with the frosting to go with it. Enjoy!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cup Butter, softened
  • 3 cups Sugar
  • 5 Eggs
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Lemon extract
  • 3/4 cup 7UP
  • Frosting
  • 1 stick of butter at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable shortening
  • 4 cups of confectionary powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon abstract
  • 1-2 tablespoons of water
  1. Step 1

    Cream butter and sugar until smooth.

  2. Step 2

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

  3. Step 3

    Add flour, lemon extract, and 7UP; mix well.

  4. Step 4

    Pour into greased angel food (or bundt) pan.

  5. Step 5

    Pour into greased angel food (or bundt) pan. Bake 325F for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done.

    Let stand for at least 10 minutes before removing from cake pan.

    Once cake has cooled, spread frosting across the cake.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't let anyone walk across the floor hard across the kitchen. Keep kids out.
  • This recipe may appear long because I am also giving the recipe to make frosting for the cake.
