How to make an Italian Margarita

Make a delicious Italian Margarita in a few simple steps

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 ounces Amaretto Liquer
  • white sugar
  • 6 ounces frozen limeade
  • 6 ounces tequila
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 6 cups ice
  1. Step 1

    Dip the rims of 4 margarita glasses in Amaretto, then into the white sugar and set aside. You could use a lid, just big enough to wet the top of your glass for this, then another lid with the sugar in it. This step can be left out if preferred. A frosted glass (placed in the freezer for a short time) can also be used.

  2. Step 2

    Put frozen lime aid, tequila, amaretto liquer, orange juice (I prefer no pulp), and ice in the blender. I like using crushed ice, if you have an ice maker that will crush it, if not, whole ice will work just fine.

  3. Step 3

    Puree until smooth, then pour into the prepared glasses. This will make 4 regular size servings. You can sit the bowl of the blender in the refrigerator and it will stay frozen for hours.

  • Please drink responsibly. Don't let guests drive home after drinking alcoholic beverages.
