This recipe is really good if you like fried fish.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 5 lb bag of whiting(or fish of your choice)
  • 2 cups of cornmeal
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 tablepoon of salt, leveled
  • 1 tablespoon of black pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  1. Step 1

Rinse fish well in cold water: Shake off access water. You do not want your fish wet with water because it will be placed in another mixture.

  2. Step 2

Whip the two eggs and milk together in a medium sized bowl (big enough for the fish to be mixed around)

  3. Step 3

Heat vegetable oil on medium high temperature. (If you don't have vegetable oil, feel free to use canola or another oil of your choice.)(If you have a deep fryer heat at 350 degrees)

  4. Step 4

Combine flour, cornmeal and your other dry ingredients together in a medium sized bowl. Make sure ingredients are well blended.

  5. Step 5

Roll fish in the milk and egg mixture and placed into the batter. Repeat until each fish is coated.

  6. Step 6

Place fish into skillet and cook 3-4 minutes on each side and until golden brown and crispy. Don't over or undercook the fish.
