Things You'll Need:
- Patience
-
Step 1
Alright if you're looking here it means you mom is driving you crazy. We'll there is help but you may need to let go. The first step is to lose the attitude. I know, I know this is difficult in the moment but she loves you and just wants the best even if she can't see you vision.
-
Step 2
Is always hear her out, listen to what she has to say you may actually agree. If you don't agree calmly reiterate what you have already decided.
-
Step 3
If you mother cannot see your vision or doesn't understand what your talking about, very calmly do your best to show her. Borrow the table cloths and show her the place setting, the colors or pictures of similar things. Show her what you see!
-
Step 4
If there is a part of the wedding you don't care about give that project to her. Perhaps the card box, the ceremony programs. Have her help tie bows on favors or be in charge of the RSVP list. Make her feel useful.
-
Step 5
And last don't forget to thank her for all her help and when it's over apologize for being bridezilla if need be. We have all been there and it will be forgiven.

on 12/30/2008 Absolutely, this is a great way to approach your Mom. Their intentions are good, but can seem controlling because they have dreamed about this day ever since you were born and are very emotionally attached to 'their' ideas.
When these options don't work, get back up... a relative she'll listen to or your wedding coordinator. It's good to have a neutral party who she respects and can 'hear'.
You can never go through planning a wedding without hurting someone's feelings. Keep in mind, it's important to be graceful, kind and sensitive when setting boundaries.
