Things You'll Need:
- purple eyeshadow in different shades
-
Step 1
Decide if you want to go for a dramatic look or something more subtle. The colors you choose will depend on this factor as well as your skin tone.
-
Step 2
If you have dark skin, you can go with a brighter purple color without it seeming dramatic. If you are dark-skinned and want to add some drama, try a shadow with a glittery look.
-
Step 3
Unless you have dark skin, try not to go too pink. Pink eyeshadow will bring out any redness in your eyes, which is not a look you want to accentuate.
-
Step 4
Take the lightest shade of purple eyeshadow and apply it near the corner of your eye. For a fun look, you can also line the bottom of your eye in the light shade--until you get to the part of your eye where the iris begins. Then stop and line with the darkest shade.
-
Step 5
Take your dark shade and apply on the top lid where the iris of your eye begins. Apply the purple eyeshadow primarily below the crease. Take a medium complementary shade of purple and apply it to your brow bone. You can also use the lighter shade of eyeshadow if you prefer.
-
Step 6
When applying purple eyeshadow as liner, dip the applicator in water for a bolder color. Otherwise, apply dry and blend for a soft look.
