How to Make Mulling Apple Cider

Mulling apple cider is a great drink for winter time. It's warm, rich in vitamin C and the spices smell so good!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 qt. apple cider or pure apple juice or 4 cups
  • Mulling spices or
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tsp orange rind
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 2 or 3 pcs whole cloves
  1. Step 1

    Combine orange rind, 1 tsp whole allspice, 2 or 3 pcs whole cloves in tea infuser ball. Put 1 quart or 4 cups of apple cider or apple juice in the pan and steep the tea infuser ball plus 2 sticks of cinnamon in the pan. Simmer for 20 minutes.

  2. Step 2

    It will give a nice fragrance for your warm apple cider. Serve hot or luke warm and garnish with cinammon stick or a slice of orange.

  3. Step 3

    You can drink it at night to give you a warm feeling and make you sleepy before bed. (just like drinking a cup of warm milk before bed).

  4. Step 4

    You can use dried orange rind or fresh rind from fresh orange. When you get the orange rind from fresh orange, make sure just take the orange part. The white part or the rind taste bitter. The orange part give a nice orange fragrance and a little bit of orange oils.

  5. Step 5

    For the easy way you can buy this mulling spices at grocery store as well. It usually come in small container or package that you can use it right away. Put 2 table spoons of this mixed spices in the tea infuser and simmer it with apple cider or apple juice for 20 minutes.
