Step 1
CHOOSE AN AVON AREA. Look at your geographic location and pick an area to use as your first goal. Select an area that reflects the economic status of customers you already have. This will be different for every Avon Representative because so much of your job depends on who you relate to and how you relate to them. If you find you have greater success communicating with lower income mothers than big money business women, choose the area you are most likely to find those customers living in.

ANNOUNCE YOUR ARRIVAL. Create a tasteful, professional flier to distribute in your Avon area. Include important contact information such as your phone number, email address, and website (if you have one). Also include a time when you will be coming through the neighborhood again and encourage customers to call for an appointment if they'd like to meet at a different time. Knock on doors to distribute your flier, and if you have the chance to speak to the lady of the house, offer her a catalog. If no one is home, leave your flier in the mailbox, but keep your precious catalogs.

AVON CATALOGS FOR WAITING ROOMS. Waiting rooms are a great place to leave catalogs. Doctors and dentists are often happy to let Avon entrepreneurs leave a few copies of their catalogs with contact information for patients to read. Also consider unusual places to leave your catalogs like auto repair waiting rooms. Such places usually offer nothing of interest to women in their lobbies, making your catalog the most entertaining read as ladies wait for extended periods of time.

AVON WEBSITE. If you're serious about making money with Avon, you're going to need an online presence. Setting up a website to share your information, or even sell your Avon products, is not difficult. You can find many examples of successful Avon stores online by performing a Google search for "avon store".

Being an Avon Representative gives you the opportunity to participate in free lessons, a community, and various programs designed to help you make more money and enjoy your Avon career to the fullest. Exchange ideas, learn more about your business, and make selling Avon fun by becoming a part of the Avon community.
