1
Wrap lollipops in colorful foil. Shades of red and pink are popular at Valentine's Day, but encourage the children to choose the colors that mean something to them or are a particular favorite of the person they want to give the candy flower to. Use clear tape to secure the foil in place.
-
2
Create a heart stencil for children to use. The stencil should be at least two times the size of the lollipop. Have the kids cut six hearts out of the construction paper color of their choice. Cut two more hearts from green paper for leaves if desired.

3
Punch holes in the bottom of each heart. Decorate the flower petals. Children will enjoy adding their own decorative touch or messages to the heart-shape petals. Use glitter, crayons or markers.
-
4
Slide the hearts one at a time onto the lollipop stem until they come to the base of the lollipop. Shape the hearts into the petals of a flower. Save the green leaves for Step 5.
-
5
Glue the flower petals in place. Slide the green leaves up the stem about halfway and glue those in place. Allow glue to dry. When completed, the children will have a beautiful Valentine's Day candy flower to give to their valentine.
