Preventing a cold is far better than catching a cold. Here are some helpful tips to preventing a cold.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Vitamin C
  • Zinc
  • lots of fluids
  • thorough hand washing
  1. Step 1

It is far better to prevent a cold than to get one. Here are some helpful ways to prevent a cold beginning with thorough had washing. Too many times we wash our hands out of habit and not affectively. Our hands, things we touch and pick up are the number one way germs are spread. Get in the habit of washing your hands often, not just when you go to the restroom.

  2. Step 2

Take a daily dosage of Vitamin C or drink the correct amount of orange juice to get your daily allowance. In addition, ask your doctor or pharmacist about taking zinc at the first sign of getting a cold. It supposedly does wonders for you.

  3. Step 3

Keep your nose moistened with saline spray. This will prevent drying of sinuses and mucus membranes and relieve stuffiness too. also eats lots of garlic as it has been proven to ward off colds and vampires too:)

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't eat too much garlic if you're going out on a date or for a job interview:)
  • Don't take Zinc without your doctor's or pharmacist' s approval.
  • If your cold lasts for more than 3-4 days and/or you have high fevers, see a doctor immediately.
