Step 1
Make organic, whole wheat macaroni and cheese according to the package directions. Whole wheat noodles are a healthier option than refined noodles. Organic does not always mean healthier, but organic foods must be grown without pesticides or genetically modified crops. Choosing organic foods ensures better farming and environmental practices.
-
Step 2
Choose a pound of organic, free-ranged burger, it can be beef, bison, lamb or any other ground organic meat you choose. Brown it in a skillet. Add the burger to the macaroni and cheese.
-
Step 3
Thaw out a frozen, organic vegetable of your choice, such as peas or green beans. Thaw them using a temperature under 150 degrees, such as hot water, or an oven set very low. This allows the vegetables to maintain more of their nutrition and enzymes. Add the veggies to the macaroni and cheese.
-
Step 4
Eat your organic, whole wheat, burger macaroni and cheese knowing that you have made some healthier more environmentally friendly choices!
