Store Christmas Ornaments Without Fancy Boxes

If you have trouble finding safe boxes for ornament storage each year that don't cost a good bit of money, then follow these easy tips.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Wine or beer box
  • Tissue paper
  1. Step 1

Visit your local liquor store or grocery store to obtain free boxes in which wine or other bottles have been packed. These types of boxes have cardboard dividers that are perfect cubbies for storing ornaments.

  2. Step 2

Purchase tissue paper or save tissue from Christmas day to pad the ornaments as they are packed into the box. In lieu of tissue paper you may opt on recycling by using newspaper. Keep in mind that newspaper is a bit bulkier therefore you may need more boxes than you would with tissue paper.

  3. Step 3

Wrap each ornament in tissue paper to pad one from another. Gently place them in the divisions of the box. You will be able to fit two or more in each section of the wine box depending on the size of your ornaments.
