Here are a few ways to have more fun this Christmas.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Throw a party. Make it a potluck so work is minimal. Have a theme like,"All chocolate."

  2. Step 2

Make up baskets of homemade goodies and leave them on the doorsteps of all your friends.

  3. Step 3

Shock all your long lost friends or classmates with Christmas or e-cards this year.

  4. Step 4

Leave surprises in your children's shoes or slippers and wait for them to find them.

  5. Step 5

Rig your toilet to play Christmas music when the lid is lifted.

  6. Step 6

Leave a gift for your mailperson in your mailbox.

  7. Step 7

If you're crafty, it might be fun to carve soap into Christmas shapes like bells, trees or stars and give them to your kids at bath time.

  8. Step 8

Put a small colorfully-wrapped gift for your wife somewhere unexpected like in a pot in the cupboards or in the butter box in the fridge.

  9. Step 9

Bake fun cookies, like gingerbread men, place them in plastic baggies, and hide them around the house for your kids to find.

  10. Step 10

Stick some funny underwear in your husband's dresser and wait for him to find them.

  11. Step 11

Put red and green light bulbs in a few of your light fixtures.

  12. Step 12

Surprise your spouse with red satin sheets.

  13. Step 13

Place a teddy bear with a colorful ribbon around its neck next to your sleeping child for him/her to wake up next to on Christmas morning.

  14. Step 14

Send someone something you know they really need or want but don't tell them who its from.

  15. Step 15

Place a CD someone has always wanted into their CD player without them knowing about it. Write "Merry Christmas!" gently with a marker on the label side.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure all gifts are age appropriate.
  • Not all people will like the same things. Tailor the surprise or gift to the individual.
