Step 1
sea saltSALT: Try putting your flowers in a plastic bag with some salt and
gently shake it up. The salt will help to clean off the dust
without wetting your flowers. Try using sea salt since it is
a little coarse and will help to "brush" away the dust and debris. -
Step 2
hairsprayHAIRSPRAY: Use aerosal hairspray. Make sure to use it outside where
you can mist the plant all-over with plenty of ventilation. -
Step 3
alcoholRUBBING ALCOHOL: Mix half alcohol and half water and put in a plastic
spray bottle. Spritz plants to remove dust. Always use in a well
ventilated area. -
Step 4
dryer sheetsDRYER SHEETS: Use a dryer sheet to wipe the dust off petals and leaves.
This is the method I like best. A dryer sheet is great for wiping of
the dust on silk flower petals and leaves, plus the fragrance of the
dryer sheet leaves your flowers smelling pretty too! -
Step 5
silk'nsplendor spraySAVE-ON-CRAFTS: This website has a cleaner made for silk flowers

on 2/20/2009 I have silk flowers that really need a good cleaning ... I'll try the dryer sheet idea first. I like the thought of the double benefit of fresh scent while getting the dust off the flowers. Thanks!
