To make your little girl feel she’s waking up in a fairy tale every morning, decorate her room with a princess theme.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paint
  • Princess theme rug, bedding, and accents
  • Personalized pictures of your little princess
  • Fairytale books
  • Creativity
  1. Step 1

Start with her walls; choose a pastel shade in order to coordinate with princess decor. Soft pinks and lavenders are most popular. There are plenty of princess theme wallpaper choices. Another option is painting the walls and accenting them with a mural.

  2. Step 2

If you went with paint for the walls, make them sparkle with either a painted mural, a wallpaper mural, or peel and stick wall decals. Castles, carriages, unicorns, princesses, tiaras, fairies, or fairytale scenes are all popular choices.

  3. Step 3

The market is flooded with princess theme bedding and window treatments. You’ll only need to decide whether you want to go with the popular Disney princesses, or more of a traditional fairytale look. While the Disney princesses have the benefit of being easily identified by your little girl, the products they adorn will definitely be a little pricier.

  4. Step 4

Making your own princess theme curtains for your little girl’s bedroom isn’t hard at all. Choose either a princess print fabric or a shimmery or lacy pastel to coordinate with your walls. Gluing rhinestones to the fabric will add a touch to make any little girl’s eyes sparkle.

  5. Step 5

If the bedroom floor is wood, a soft area rug with an enchanted castle or fairytale scene will provide a perfect place for your little girl to dance and play.

  6. Step 6

Personalize the room by framing and hanging any pictures of your little girl in a princess costume or posing on a Disney vacation with Princess characters.

Decorate shelves with princess dolls and storybooks with princesses gracing their covers. Books are a cheap way to decorate, but they’ll stimulate an invaluable love of reading in your little girl.

  8. Step 8

Now it’s time for your little girl’s favorite part. Finish off the bedroom with princess theme accents, such as crowns, scepters, wands, and tiaras.
