How to Make Turkey Pot Pie Out of Your Left Overs

Ok, so you make turkey soup, turkey casserole, turkey sanwichs, so what not turkey pot pie? It will be a quick easy meal that your family will enjoy.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 cups cut up left over turkey.
  • 2 ready made pie crust shells
  • 1 10 oz can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup left over stuffing (if available) broke into tiny pieces
  • 2 cups left over mashed potatoes, broke into peices (or 2 cups frozen, diced potatoes
  • 1 cup left over vegetable, (or 1 cup frozen or canned vegs of your choice.
  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix together all of the ingredients above,
    and put into a pie crust. Use the second crust to put on the top and pinch the edges of the top crust, with the bottom crust to form a bond.

    With a knife, make some slits in the top of the crust to allow steam to escape. Set the pie pan on a cookie sheet when baking, to prevent over flow from burning in your oven.

    Add a salad for extra roughage

    Make for about 45 minutes, or until crust turns brown. Serve with a salad, and cottage cheese for a balanced meal.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you are turkeyed out, freeze this pie until you have another turkey craving!
  • Add 1/2 cup shredded cheese to mixture, if desired
  • You can use left over gravy, in place of the soup

on 12/14/2008 Great article! I love to buy a whole turkey, freeze the meat and use it in several ways through out the week. I especially enjoyed your article extender as I have run into the same problem. Thanks for that tip as well:-)
