Things You'll Need:
- Favor packaging of your choice.
- Ribbon or premade bows.
- Floral Wire
- Rhinestone and beads
- Wire cutters and glue
-
Step 1
Now that we've reviewed the supplies you're going to need let's get started
-
Step 2
The first step is to determine whether you're going use either pre-made bows or make them yourself. For these instructions we're going to use an organza ribbon to make a hand tied shoe string bow. Trust me when I tell you that they are VERY EASY to make yourself and it's just like tying your shoe.
-
Step 3
Take the shoe string bow that you've created and fold the bottom tails of the bow up toward the center knot to form the bottom wings of the butterfly. Hold them into place while you clip the excess ribbon. Gather the tails toward the center and add a dab of glue on the back to hold it secure.
-
Step 4
Now that the bottom tails have been glued into place you've successfully formed all 4 wings.
-
Step 5
Take your floral wire and thread through the top of the knot and fold in half and form the antennas.
-
Step 6
Add the beads to the wire as the will become the end of the antenna. Fold the wire in half around the bead and twist it until you like the way it looks. Repeat the same step on the other side.
-
Step 7
Our final step is to add a rhinestone or bead to the center to complete the butterfly favor decorations. You have now created a unique embellishment for your wedding or party favor packaging. Here's just a few examples to inspire you using both the pre-made and hand tied bows.
