How to Beat the Robot Brigade Boss in "Chrono Trigger"

The main group of characters that you control in the Super Nintendo role-playing game Chrono Trigger will travel into both the far future and the distant past during their travels. When they explore the shattered world of the future, they will have to face a boss fight against a brigade of robots who have been programmed to destroy humanity. To defeat the robots, you will need to use a specific magic spell that only one character has access to.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Chrono Trigger SNES game

1. 
    
   The Robot Factory

   Proceed through the game until your party travels to the year 2,300 A.D. and finds the character named Robo. Re-arrange your party so that it consists of Chrono, Robo and the girl named Lucca. Leave the dome where you found Robo and travel to the robot factory to the north.

2. 
    
   The Core Computer

   Fight the enemies in the factory until Lucca learns the spell called "Flame Whirl," and then travel to the center of the area where the core computer is located. Flip the switch on the computer and then attempt to leave the way you came.

3. 
    
   The Robot Brigade

   Go into the main hallway to initiate the boss fight with the robot brigade that will try to prevent you from leaving.

4. 
    
   Fighting the Robot Brigade

   Choose Lucca's "Flame Whirl" spell and target the three robots in the back row with it. Wait for the robots to counter-attack and then use the ability again to destroy all three robots at once.

5. 
    
   Beating the Boss

   Have Chrono and Lucca both use healing items on themselves during the next round and then use the "Flame Whirl" spell twice on the front row of robots to end the boss fight.

Tips & Warnings

• Don't take the character named Marle with you into the robot factory or the boss fight will be nearly impossible to win, as you won't have an area affect spell to use on the robots.
