Things You'll Need:
- MS Word 2007
-
Step 1
To change the line spacing in Word 2007, first make sure that you have the Home tab on the Ribbon selected on the Microsoft Word 2007 window. (The Ribbon is the area at the top of the Word 2007 screen that contains the command buttons.)
-
Step 2
Word 2003 StyleThe quickest way to change the line spacing in Word 2007 is by changing the "style". On the Home tab of the Ribbon, there is a Styles group. In the Styles group, there is a button called Change Styles. Click the Change Styles button, choose Style Set, then choose Word 2003.
-
Step 3
Set as DefaultNow, to make this your default setting, click the Change Styles button again, and choose Set as Default.
-
Step 4
The Word 2007 line spacing has now been set to the way it was in Word 2003 - which is single spacing. Now, whenever you open a Blank Document in Microsoft Word 2007, the line spacing will be single space with no extra space between paragraphs. How easy was that!
