How to Love

What is love? One may define love as a bizarre thing, or for some, it is the most wonderful feeling in the face of the earth. However we may define it, we all have loved someone or even ourselves in one way or another.

Here’s a universal guide to loving:

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

To start, look them deep in the eyes, and say the words “I love you” to the person that you feel love. It expresses your love to that person, just make sure that you mean it.

  2. Step 2

Empathize with the people, try to understand how they feel.

  3. Step 3

Give unconditional love. Love people because of who they are and not who you want them to be.

  4. Step 4

Do not expect that people will love you back in the same manner that you love them. Always expect nothing in return.

  5. Step 5

Remember that the person you love may be lost, so always cherish them.

Tips & Warnings
  • However, keep in mind that if you truly love someone, you have to set them free. It is unfair to hold that person responsible for your feelings. There are also different types of love, that is why it is ideal to tell someone that you love them in as much as you love other persons in your life. It is also important that you learn to love yourself first before you love other people. Find someone who compliments and suits you and love that person truly. Make the person you love feel good, know their needs, understand their feelings without compromising that “space” needed by that person to grow and attain one’s self fulfillment. Discover the true essence of love, for in love, there is no failure.
