How to Donate a Recreational Vehicle

Most people are informed about donating cars to charities. You may be unaware, that several charitable organizations also accept donations of recreational vehicles. Just as with car donations, proceeds from your RV donations will go towards funding programs for underprivileged children throughout the world. Almost every RV donation is tax deductible, as well, regardless of whether or not the vehicle is running.

Instructions

1. Donate your RV to Habitat for Humanity's car program. Habitat for Humanity uses the proceeds from your donation to fund the building of homes in Third World countries. You can donate from anywhere in your country in order to help your local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. 2. Give your RV to the Family Care Foundation. The FCF offers medicine, food, shelter and numerous other services to families in need throughout Third World countries. 3. Consider donating your RV to the Rawhide Boys Ranch. Rawhide is a Christian-based counseling center that works with at-risk and troubled teenage boys. Besides counseling, Rawhide provides job training, education and extra-curricular activities. 4. Donate your RV using the Melwood National Car Donation Center. Melwood offers services to mentally disabled individuals in counties throughout the United States. Melwood also helps families with mentally disabled children, offering financial aid and educational services. 5. Give your RV to a local Hospice organization through Hospice Cars. These organizations give special care to those individuals who are at the end of their lives. Tips & Warnings

• Many organizations will allow you to donate even if you do not have a title. Most require you to have the keys to the RV, though. Call the organizations or charity you want to donate to for more information.
