Some Logitech brand keyboards do not have a scroll-lock key. Sometimes, scroll lock may inadvertently become enabled when working in an Excel spreadsheet, for example, and cause you problems when trying to move from cell to cell using your arrow keys to navigate. Here are some simple steps to turn the scroll lock off suing the Windows on-screen keyboard.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Logitech Keyboard
  1. Step 1

Click the Windows Start button which is located in the lower left corner of your screen.

  2. Step 2

Click on All Programs. You will see a list of all the programs installed on your computer.

  3. Step 3

Select Accessories from the list of available Programs. It is usually in the upper left on the list of available programs as the list is alphabetized.

  4. Step 4

Select Accessibility, which is a sub-program of Accessories.

  5. Step 5

    Select the On-Screen Keyboard.

  6. Step 6

Select the Scroll-Lock by clicking on the on-screen 'key' labelled 'slk' located upper right on the on-screen keyboard between the 'psc' and the 'brk' keys.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you are unable to scroll cell-to-cell in an Excel spreadsheet, look in the lower right corner of your spreadsheet to see if 'SCRL' is displayed. If so, then your scroll lock has been activated even though there is no scroll lock button on your Logitech keyboard. Use the steps above to turn scroll lock on or off according to your needs.
