If you're looking for info on how to change the canvas size in Paint Shop Pro 7, this article offers to tell you everything you need to know.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer running Paint Shop Pro (PSP) 7
  1. Step 1

Look to the menu at the top of the screen. The item that's the fourth one from the left should be "Image." Click on it to expand the menu. In the new menu, the fifth item down should be "Canvas Size..." Click on this, and a new window pops up.

  2. Step 2

In the first textbox, enter what you want the new width of the image to be. In the second textbox, enter what you want the new height of the image to be. Below the second textbox is the current width of the image followed by the current height of the image.

  3. Step 3

The second section is the "Image placement" section. Checking the "Center image horizontally" checkbox puts equal space on both the left and right sides of the image to get to the new width. Checking the "Center image vertically" checkbox puts equal space on both the top and bottom sides of the image to get the new height.

  4. Step 4

The textboxes below the checkboxes let you enter the exact amount of space you want to the top, bottom, left, and right sides of the image. The value you enter for the top, plus the value you enter for the bottom, plus the "Current height:" should be equal to the "New height:" In the same way, the value you enter for the left, plus the value you enter for the right, plus the "Current width:" should be equal to the "New width:" Otherwise, some strange things may happen to your image.

  5. Step 5

Click "OK" to complete the changing of the canvas size.
