Keep Your Child Occupied On a Road Trip

Would you like a few tips on how to keep your child occupied on a road trip? Here are a few ideas that may help.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Purchase a portable DVD player and allow them to bring along some of their favorite movies, or possibly a movie they haven't seen yet. This will definitely pass a few minutes on that long trip to never never land.

  2. Step 2

Give them some treats that don't contain a lot of sugar. Popcorn is a nice treat, or maybe some potato chips. Be prepared to vacuum your car later on because most children don't eat without spilling something. Also markers or crayons would be a BIG NO NO !!! Most kids would rather draw on the car seats than on the paper.

  3. Step 3

Bring along a small game. There are companies that now make the smaller games that you can take with you anywhere. Connect four is a good one to carry on the road, or an etch-a-sketch. These games can be loads of fun for children anytime anyplace.
