Tips & Warnings
By drinking or eating too fast, you can cause yourself to have hiccups. Simply slow down when you eat and drink to prevent hiccups. Take deep and full breaths when you have the hiccups to quickly get rid of them. For children with hiccups, give them 1 tsp. of peanut butter instead of the larger tablespoon.
Do not hold your breath to cure hiccups, as this is not a safe way to rid yourself of this annoyance.
