How to Keep Lipstick Off Your Teeth

Lipstick on the teeth is an age old issue that has plagued women throughout history; well, maybe it's not as serious as all that but it can definitely be embarrassing! And while there are plenty of long-lasting lipstick options, not every gorgeous color comes in a paint-like tube with a super-glue hold. In this case, add a few extra steps to your routine to avoid smudging, bleeding and the dreaded lipstick-teeth.

Things You'll Need:

• Nude or neutral lipliner
• Lipstick
• Tissue

1. Smooth lips with a gentle sugar rub or exfoliating treatment. Follow woth an intensive lip moisturizer.

2. Line lips with a nude or neutral lip pencil to avoid bleeding. You may also apply the pencil to the entire lip to avoid a visible line on the lips. (There's nothing worse than worn-off lipstick with a colorful outline left behind).

3. Apply your lip color with a lip brush to ensure softness and prevent visible lines- it also helps you to use less lipstick!

4. Blot your lips with tissue, reapply the lip color and blot again. This will provide staying power and give you pure color.

5. After applying the lipstick, pop your index finger into your mouth; then pull it out. The excess lipstick will come off on your finger rather than on your teeth.
