Celebrate Buy Nothing Day
Celebrate Buy Nothing Day

Instead of spending and consuming on the day after Thanksgiving, try a different approach to Black Friday. Celebrate Buy Nothing Day by doing just that.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Cut up a credit card. Cutting up one credit card is a great way to celebrate Buy Nothing Day. It will dramatically decrease your spending and help protect valuable resources.

  2. Step 2

Do a zombie walk. Dress as a zombie and walk around the mall with a blank stare, just like all the shoppers. If someone asks what you are doing, tell them about Buy Nothing Day.

  3. Step 3

Buy nothing. The most important step in the whole process is to buy nothing the day after Thanksgiving. Our earth is running out of resources and consumption is out of control. Choose to make something, cook something or take a walk instead.

  4. Step 4

Have a Whril Mart. Gather all of your friends together and make line with your shopping carts all the way around a super center. Then just go around and around. Tell anyone who asks what you are doing about Buy Nothing Day.
