How to Make Bean and Cheese Tacos
When you're not in the mood for slaving over a hot stove, try making these bean and cheese tacos. The ingredients are quick to prepare and the tacos are easy to assemble. Things You'll Need
- 2 cans pinto beans or black beans
- 1 1/2 tsp. taco seasoning
- Cheese, grated
- Flour tortillas or taco shells
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- Salsa, optional
- Sour cream, optional
- Oil

In a medium-sized skillet, heat the oil and add the pinto beans and taco seasoning. Cook for about 5 minutes until reduced. Smash the beans with a bean smasher until smooth. Set aside.

Warm the tortillas or taco shells, either in the microwave, the oven or a pan on the stove.

Serve the taco ingredients in separate bowls on the table. To assemble each taco, add shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes. Top with cheese, sour cream or salsa if desired. Fold the taco as desired.

Tips & Warnings
You may also add chopped onions or jalapenos to your tacos if desired.
Be Careful when cooking the tacos, sometimes the cheese melts out of the taco and makes the oil splatter.
