Things You'll Need:
- Some toys
- A grocery list
- A plan
-
Step 1
Before you go to the grocery store, make sure you make a detailed list, and try to put it in the order you will get things at the grocery store. Have your coupons ready, and prepare before you go. This will make it less stressful, and it will get done much quicker.
-
Step 2
Make sure to bring a little bag with some of your toddlers favorite toys, or maybe something new and exciting for him to play with. Distraction is key. The happier your child is occupied with his toys, the easier it is for you to concentrate on what you are doing.
-
Step 3
Make sure you plan ahead of time, and go at the right time of day. You have to take two very important things into account. 1) Know your grocery store, and try to go at a time that isn't jam packed. 2) Go at your child's best time of day - when is your child the happiest. You don't want to go right before nap time, and risk having a cranky child at the grocery store.
