Making your own robe for ceremonies make them more essential to the ritual.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Fabric 2x your hight/width
  • sharp scissors
  • Needle and thread/sewing machine
  • Embroidery is optional
  1. Step 1

Gather your fabric that's both twice your hight and width from head to toe and beyond the finger tips to finger tips.

  2. Step 2

Fold it width wise. This means folding it from hand-to-hand wise.

  3. Step 3

Cut a half circle to creat a neck hole. If cutting shapes makes you nervous, try marking the fabric on the inside (the side that will be against your body) with chalk or pen using circular objects from around the house.

  4. Step 4

Cut the rest of your fabric into a T shape. Making sure that the fabric stays in place, use some pins with colored heads to keep track of them.

  5. Step 5

Sew the underarms and side edges together. Running over a pin body can break the needle in your machine so be careful not to overlook them.

  6. Step 6

Lastly, hem the neck, wrists, and bottem. Congradulations! Now you're ready to choose a cord for your robe; initiated Wiccans wear the cord colors of red for women and blue for men.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you do not succeed the first time, try a different fabric or thread.
  • If prone to pricking your own finger, wear a thimble. These can be found at craft stores and Super marts with craft sections.
