How to Become a Faster Typer

Learning to become a faster typer is not hard but it does take some time and practice. Here are some great ways to increase your typing speed.

1. Homerow keys.
   Knowing where the homerow keys are is very important. It is definitely step number one to learning to type faster. Avoid typing with just one finger at a time. You may get faster but you will not be anywhere near the speed you would receive if you were typing with your homerow keys.

2. Practice.
   Practice as much as you can. Type up papers, browse the internet, etc. Do anything on the computer that allows you to type. Just from typing so many ehow articles my speed increased. The more you type the quicker you will get. Eventually you won't even if have to look at your keyboard.

3. Typing Program.
   If you are still not where you would like to be at, try a typing program. There are many typing programs that can fit your need. Just make sure you have it on the right skill level. If you continue to do just lesson one, your typing speed will probably not increase as much as you like. So be on the look out for a good typing program.
