Step 1
One of the best rewards for children memorizing scripture is to tell them that they can recite the verse or verses to another loved one once they demonstrate that they know the scripture completely. Knowing that they'll be able to say the scripture to Grandma or Grandpa is very motivational.

Tell the children that they can pick out the next type of scripture that they would like to memorize. Give them options to choose from such as love or friendship.
