Everyone should have a place to relax, do
exercises (yoga is good) or meditate. Or
maybe just get away from everyone and everything; just be by yourself.
This plan gives you a place to experience the senses of sight, sound, and smell.
This would also be a good place for a sensual massage.
This space could be an extra bedroom, a bonus room or an addition especially for the purpose of being a meditation room.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 10x10 or more room with a window
  • a meditation mat or cushion
  • an indoor wall water fountain
  • cd player and meditation tapes
  • 2 speakers
  • wind chimes and a fan to blow them around
  • incense and aroma candles
  • aromatic plants

Decide where you want the Meditation Room to be. Paint it a soothing color. Try to pick a room with a window, with a pleasant view. If there isn't a nice view; pick a room with a high window on a side where the sun can stream in, with it's soothing warmth.
Put a wind chime in the window; so that the breezes can blow it around when the window is open. If the window doesn't open place a fan so that it will blow the chimes.

  2. Step 2

Place your meditation mat or cusion in the center of the floor.

on 12/1/2008 I don't have the room to create an actual "meditation room", so I followed your steps and created one in my mind! That's one of the benefits of meditation - increased visualization skills. Thanks so much for the extra room in my house!
