How to Add Color to a Sun Catcher Without Using Paint

Paint is messy, takes a long time to clean up, requires brushes and takes forever to dry. If your kids have short attention spans, this can equal disaster and frustration. Luckily, you can easily color sun catchers with permanent markers and avoid the paint, the mess, the hassle and the cleanup.

Things You'll Need

• Permanent markers Aerosol fixative Box

Instructions

1. Color the sun catchers with the markers.

2. Let them dry for a few seconds, then add another layer of color if you would like them to be darker.

3. Put the finished sun catchers in a box with the colored side up.

4. Go outside and spray the sun catchers lightly with fixative.

5. Let the sun catchers dry for a minute or two. They are then ready to hang.

• Do not spray fixative indoors or in an area that is poorly ventilated.
