Set Up a Meeting in Microsoft Outlook Calendar

Having trouble setting up a Microsoft Outlook calendar reminder for a meeting? Don't really understand how to do this? Well, you might be surprised to find out that this is super easy to do, and very helpful as well. Here's how...

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

First, start Microsoft Outlook. Then go to the "Go" menu and choose "Calendar." This will present you with a calendar view. In the icon strip just underneath the menus, choose "Month." You can use the others (e.g., day, week, etc.) but I prefer the comprehensive view that the "Month" view provides.

  2. Step 2

Double-click on the day you want to set up a meeting. This will bring up a window asking for various information. Type in the "Subject," "Location," the "Start"/"End" Times, etc. You can also provide choose to provide a reminder interval which will cause an automatic pop-up window to appear a certain time before your meeting to remind you. In the large lower-half of the window, you can provide a message if you wish.

  3. Step 3

Then click on the Scheduling tab near the top and you will see a column on your left where you can enter recipient e-mail addresses. Type in as many as e-mail addresses as you would like to receive your email.

  4. Step 4

Then press the "Save and Close" button to send the message. That's it! Pretty simple.
