Almond bark pretzels are a quick, easy, inexpensive treat for cookie exchanges and holiday snacking.

Children can easily be included in this activity. Making almond bark pretzels is a perfect family or small group activity for the holidays.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pretzels (Seasonal)
  • Almond Bark (20 oz.)
  • Colored Candy Sprinkles
  • Wax paper
  • 2-3 Quart glass bowl
  • Fondue forks
  • Microwave oven
  1. Step 1
     

    Gather your supplies.

  2. Step 2
    Melted almond bark.

    Break almond bark into smaller pieces so it fits into the glass bowl.

    Microwave on high stirring every minute or so. Continue until completely melted. Usually 3-4 minutes.

  3. Step 3

    Set the bowl of melted almond bark on your work table. Use a hot pad under the bowl because it is hot!

    Lay out wax paper near your bowl.

    Drop a pretzel into melted almond bark. Use a fondue fork to fully submerge and swirl the pretzel to cover all surfaces. Lift the pretzel out with the fondue fork. With the pretzel still on the fork tap the fork against the top of the bowl to shake off the excess coating.

  5. Step 5
    Decorated pretzel placed on wax paper to cool.

    Place the coated pretzel on the wax paper. Decorate with color sugar or sprinkles. Allow to cool.

    Finished pretzels in Ziploc storage bag ready for sharing!

    Store the finished pretzels in Ziploc bags or other air tight container.

    They make great exchange gifts!

Tips & Warnings
  • Decorate your pretzels before the coating cools so it sticks better.
  • Holidy pretzels and festive Ziploc bags adds holiday cheer.
  • Don't over heat the almond bark. It can burn. Stir to melt chunks if it seems hot enoough but it is still lumpy.
