How to Become a Boxing Judge

If your a boxing fanatic then the idea of becoming a boxing judge sounds like a dream job. It is possible there are people that get paid to judge boxing.

Instructions

1. First you have to email or call the Athletic commissioner of your state.

2. You can find their contact info by going to your state website and then search for athletic commission.

3. Next, you will need to call the director of amateur boxing in your local area. The athletic commissioner will provide you with that information

4. Call the director let him know you want to become a amateur boxing judge.

5. Then you will have to call the boxing promoter of the next boxing show. The boxing promoter will tell you where and when next show will be.

6. Next, you will go the boxing show to meet the other boxing judges. Look for a mentor out of those judges to show you the ropes on being a judge

   There also is a test that boxing judges have to take and the other judges will explain that to you

Tips & Warnings

• You will have to first become a boxing judge in the amateurs ranks before you can become a pro.
• Amateur Boxing Judges don't get paid, but they do get a stipend for traveling fees
• Professional Judges can make as much as $1000 to $5000 to judge a fight
