Things You'll Need:
- vegetables
- tofu or tofurkey or another veggie main course
-
Step 1
First, get a tofurkey. These can be purchased at health food stores or anywhere you can find tofu. Tofu is a good source of protein to build lean muscle tissue. Plus, you can eat the same amount you would turkey and not feel that full. If you don't like tofu, you can find tempeh, or seitan, and carve that up instead.
-
Step 2
Get a nice variety of vegetables. Butternut squash soup with croutons, steamed asparagus, and of course mashed potatoes. Instead of putting marshmallows ontop of your sweet potatoes, don't. Dice them, boil them and season put tasty little potato squares.
-
Step 3
Use vegan or vegetarian seasonings, and stocks. Instead of chicken or turkey stock, use vegetable stock. A good vegetarian broth to make is mushroom. Just cover mushrooms in boiling water and let the flavor develop.
-
Step 4
In my family, stuffing was always made with turkey. You can make some out of croutans, of course, celery, mushrooms, onions, and of couse seasonings.
