Things You'll Need:
- Flat work area
- Wooden airplane kit
- Hot glue gun
- Glue sticks
- Warm wet rag
- Paint(optional)
-
Step 1
First, we are going to find a flat surface area to do our work. Make sure its clean and void of any cluster.
-
Step 2
When that is done we will open our model wooden airplane kit and take out the pieces. Then we will separate(if not already done) the pieces into their own sections(wings in a section, tail in another, etc...).
-
Step 3
Now most of these model kits come pre-painted, but some allow you to paint them yourself. If you have a paint-it-yourself model kit, this is the step at which you would paint it. Then place the pieces, in their separate sections, in an area to dry.
-
Step 4
Once the pieces are dry you can begin to build your work of art. Grab your hot glue gun and start gluing the pieces to their appropriate areas. When gluing hold pieces together tightly for a few seconds, until it is firmly secure, if there is any excess glue wipe it away with your warm rag. Start with the big pieces first and then the smaller ones will follow(Some kits require you to put them together in a certain order, while with others it doesn't matter).
-
Step 5
Your work is complete, place your wooden airplane model on its stand, and place it where you see fit(some of these kits may be collectibles so I recommend you put them in a glass case).
