Everyone wants to save money, but you still want to be able to go out and enjoy a meal. Here are a few helpful tips to make your next trip out to eat a little more affordable.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Entertainment Book -

Buy the Entertainment Book every year for around $25-$35 dollars. It contains lots of buy 1 get one free coupons for local and chain restaurants that are valid for 1 year. You can usually pay for the cost of the book in 2-3 visits. If you feel awkward using coupons, they provide a card that you can use at the higher-end restaurants that you can slip in with your credit card at the end of the meal.

  2. Step 2

    Gift Cards -
Around the holidays, many restaurants will offer a deal when you purchase a gift card. For example, you buy a $100 gift card and they throw in a $25 gift card for free. If your favorite restaurant offers this type of deal, you should definitely buy the gift cards because you know that you will be eating at that restaurant during the year.

  3. Step 3

    Coupons from your Mailbox -
Most people receive coupons in the mail from local restaurants. Save them and the next time you want to go out, go to your coupons and figure out what sounds tasty and who has the best deal

  4. Step 4

    Share Plates -
Most restaurants give huge portions of food. If you go out to eat with a friend that wants the same thing as you, consider sharing the plate. Be aware that some restaurants will charge a split plate charge.
