How to Get Free Cosmetics from Ulta

Ulta is one of the largest beauty retailers with free-standing stores (not in the mall) and a website where you can purchase a huge variety of cosmetics, fragrances, hair care, and other beauty products. Learn how to get free products from Ulta and rack up on cosmetics, beauty items, and other freebies.

Instructions

1. Visit your local Ulta store or go online and register for the Ulta Rewards Program. You will earn points with every purchase either online or in the store. Keep your Ulta Rewards card with you at all times.

2. Shop for cosmetics and beauty products at Ulta. Ulta’s every day prices are comparable to WalMart, and sometimes beat Target’s prices. They accept both manufacturer’s coupons and online (printable coupons) for further savings. If you are going to buy these products anyway, why not buy them from a store that is going to give you a reward for your business?

3. Watch for Ulta email alerts. If you have signed up for the rewards program, you will receive a weekly email that usually contains a coupon for either 20% off a single item, or $3.50 off a $10 purchase. Print out the coupon and keep it with you.

4. Watch for Ulta sales on products that you will use. Ulta carries major national brands like Neutrogena, L’Oreal, Aveeno, and Revlon. Read the Sunday circular to learn about the weekly deals. Avoid buying items you won't need just because they are on sale.

5. Make your battle plan and combine discounts. For example, let’s say that Ulta has L’Oreal makeup on sale, Buy One Get One Free. You might have a L’Oreal coupon for $2 off a single item. Use the manufacturer’s coupon, the $3.50 off $10 purchase coupon, and buy the item at the sale price. The discounts really add up when you combine or “stack” coupons and discounts. Plus, you will earn points for this purchase that will go towards free items.

6. Watch for special promotions. Ulta may offer a free makeup bag, bath robe, cosmetic set, or other free gift when you purchase a certain dollar amount worth of items. Remember, whatever you buy will go towards your rewards for free items.

7. Check the clearance section. You can often find markdowns of 75% or more. Coupons can be used on clearance items – making them practically free!

8. Ulta sends out your rewards certificate every quarter. Depending on the amount of your reward, you can get some great free products. For example, a reward level of 6 allows you to get $45 worth of fragrances free. The more rewards you have, the more free products you can get. Make sure you redeem your rewards certificate before it expires.

Tips & Warnings

• Everything you buy at Ulta counts towards your rewards. Think about what you regularly buy and see if Ulta carries it at the same (or lower) price than where you normally purchase the item.
