Things You'll Need:
- 1 Pair of old jeans
- 1 Seam Ripper
- Sewing Machine

Step 1
Choose an old pair of jeans. Make sure it is a pair that you don't mind throwing away just in case!

Lay the jeans out. Make sure the jeans are not wrinkled, this will help to ensure a straighter cut.

Step 3
Cut the jeans to the desired length. If you aren't sure, it is always to cut less and remove extra later!

Step 4
Turn the jeans inside out.

Step 5
Using the Seam Ripper, begin to rip the inseam. Start at the crotch of the pants and work your way down. Do this to both pant legs.

Step 6
Turn the pants right side out.

Step 7
Using the Seam Ripper,remove the outer portion of the inseam from both pant legs.

Step 8
Turn the jeans to the back side, remove the seam all the way up to the belt loop.

Step 9
Turn the jeans to the front side, remove the seam all the way up to the zipper.

Step 10
Lay the jeans out flat.

Step 11
On the front side of the jeans: Start from the top. Making sure everything remains flat, overlap and pin the seams from the right pant leg to the left pant leg.

Step 12
On the back side of the jeans: Turn the jeans inside out. Start from the top. Making sure everything remains flat, overlap and pin the seams from the right pant leg to the left pant leg.

Step 13
Using your sewing machine: Keep the skirt inside out. Sew a seam following the pin line on the back of the skirt.

Step 14
Using your sewing machine: Turn the skirt right side out. Sew a seam following the pin line on the front of the skirt.

Step 15
Remove any excess fabric.
