Things You'll Need:
- a multitonal eye-shadow kit (browns, grays, or blues)
- a eye-shadow brush
- cotton swabs
- mascara
- eye lash curler
-
Step 1
Draw a line with the eye-shadow brush along your upper and lower eyelashes.Take an eye-shadow brush and dip it into water. Next you will want to light dap the brush into one of your eye-shadow colors, the darkest shade in your kit. Right at the base of your eyelashes where they meet your lid, you will want to draw a line, in the same manner as though you are putting on eyeliner.
-
Step 2
To create a crease for a smoky effect blink. Do this before your eye-shadow dries. This will help you fill in the contouring shadow later on, for by blinking, the eye-shadow will form in the creases, making shading easier.
-
Step 3
Use the lightest color in your eye-shadow kit to fill in the space above the crease on your lid. Also shade up to the brow line. This can be done by using your fingertip.
-
Step 4
Next use the second lightest eye-shadow. With your fingertips rub this across the corners of your eyes. This will give the effect that your eyes are bigger than they appear.
-
Step 5
Next use the darkest eye-shadow. Use a cotton swab and finger to dust the shadow on top of your layer of liner from step one. Blending with a finger will help create a darker effect.
-
Step 6
Curl your eyelashes with the eyelash curler. Coat your eyelashes with mascara.
