Make Your Own Wellness a Priority Without Feeling Guilty
Make Your Own Wellness a Priority Without Feeling Guilty

In the hectic world where we live there are so many things we have to do everyday that we often overlook many things that we should do. It's particularly difficult for women with family responsibilities to take time to focus on their own personal wellness without feeling guilty. How do you change your mind set and make your own wellness a priority?

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Stop thinking about taking time for yourself as a luxury. Your well being and your overall feeling of wellness is important not just to you but to your family.

  2. Step 2

Start thinking about how much you do for your family and how they depend on you. If you allow your personal wellness to fritter away due to the fact that you take no time for your own emotional and physical needs you will not be able to give your best efforts to your family. It's a lose - lose scenario. You will eventually wither like a flower that is denied water. A wilted flower still has some of its fragrance but its vibrancy and ability to impress and function in its full glory is diminished. When you provide the water needed the flower lifts its head and rises to any occasion.

  3. Step 3

Give yourself the same care you give your family and your home and your beautiful plants and flowers. Set goals and create schedules to tend to your wellness the same way you tend to the schedules of your family members needs. It's actually a selfish behavior pattern to neglect your needs, your vitality and your overall wellness. You owe it to not only yourself but your family to develop a plan for personal longevity. What would they do without you?

  4. Step 4

Make a wellness plan. Don't feel guilty about taking some time to make it work. What are you waiting for? It's a win - win scenario. You win and so does your family. Be Well!
