Things You'll Need:
- A juicer
- Organic veggies & fruits
- Organic meats
- Fresh caught fish
- Commitment
- Dedication
- Self-love
-
Step 1
Detox your kitchen. Throw out - yes, I said throw out anything that has artificial ingredients, sugar, chocolate, alcohol, red vinegar and yeast. Throw out any fruits, vegetables or meats that aren't organic. Don't feel guilty about throwing them out - you're throwing out poison, literally, if you know what's in those foods!
-
Step 2
Keep it clean. Fill your fridge and pantry with fresh, vibrant fruits and vegetables and organic meats. Chose snacks like nuts or celery sticks with fresh healthy dips like hummus or avocado.
-
Step 3
Read labels. Know what you're putting into your body before buying it.
-
Step 4
Quit Dairy. Replace butter with olive oil. Replace cow's milk with nut milk.
-
Step 5
Don't eat tuna, swordfish or other big fish. Do eat small fish that are fresh caught only unless you know the conditions of the farm the "farm raised" fish come from.
-
Step 6
Avoid beef. Stick to fish and poultry if you eat meat. Make the majority of your meals vegetables with meat on the side.
-
Step 7
Go low carb. Avoid getting your carbs from processed foods like chips. Go easy on the bread, rice and other grains and flours. One or two small servings (the size of your palm) a day is plenty. Get your carbs from vegetables instead. Satiate your hunger with protein in nuts, fish and meats.
-
Step 8
Drink green. Use a juicer to make a fresh green juice daily. Cucumber, celery, ginger and green apple are liver cleansing and delicious.
-
Step 9
Drink lots of water and herbal teas. Keep your body hydrated and let the water flush out the toxins in your system. Make sure the water is purified and not tap. Choose detoxifying teas from your local health market.
-
Step 10
Sweat it out. Rotate your exercise between brisk outdoor walks to get your heart rate up and gentle Hatha yoga to relax your nervous system.
-
Step 11
Bathe. Add three drops tea tree and 10 drops lavender oil to your hot bath along with a cup of Epsom or dead sea salts. Bathe nightly while detoxing.
-
Step 12
Meditate. Take quiet time to meditate and journal. If there are any unhealthy habits you'd like to break, replace them with new healthy ones. Ask yourself why you think you created the unhealthy pattern. What was it trying to help you do?
-
Step 13
Sleep well. Go to bed early and wake early. End your days with inspirational reading and start your days with exercise.
