Things You'll Need:
- Paint Shop Pro 7
-
Step 1
From the menu, select "File," and then select "Open." Find and select the image you want to open, and click "Open."
-
Step 2
Save a copy by selecting "File," and then "Save As..." Browse to where you want to save the cropped image, give it a name, and click "Save."
-
Step 3
Click the "Crop" tool. It's in the toolbar on the left, and looks like a square with a diagonal line running through it. If you're unsure, hover over each icon until a tooltip pops up, telling you what the icon is.
-
Step 4
Left-click an area on the image, and hold the button down. Move the mouse to create a rectangle. The area inside the rectangle will be the new image. Release the button.
-
Step 5
To modify the area, hover over one of the edges--an arrow should appear. Click and hold the button down. Move the mouse in any direction you want to shrink or expand the cropped area. Release the button when it's the size you want.
-
Step 6
You can move the entire rectangle if you click in the center of the rectangle, hold the button down, and move the mouse.
-
Step 7
Once you've selected the area you want, double click the center of the rectangle. Everything outside the rectangle is deleted, and the new image is only what was inside the rectangle.
-
Step 8
Select "File," and then "Save" to save your work. If you don't like the way the crop turned out, select "Edit," and then "Undo" from the menu, and repeat the procedure.
