Keep you glass drinking straws sparkling clean!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • water
  • dish soap
  • vinegar (white)
  • cleaning brush (optional)
  1. Step 1

Glass Drinking Straws are easily cleaned if they are rinsed or soaked in water following each use. They can simply be put in the dishwasher in the silverware basket or washed by hand. GlassDharma sells cleaning brushes in 3 sizes if your glass drinking straws have been neglectfully left out and beverage "leftovers" have dried on to the glass.

  2. Step 2

Soaking is usually all that is needed even for dried on messes. if you are using the dishwasher method, simply soak the straws in water prior to loading into the silverware basket. you can cut a piece of netted rubberized shelf liner to place in the bottom of the basket to keep the smaller, "sipper size" straws from falling through the bottom. After the dishwasher cycle is done, your glass straws will be sparkling clean!

  3. Step 3

Glass drinking straws will sometimes get hard water deposits that make them look cloudy as they get older. Simply soaking them in vinegar for 30 minutes and then use a designated cleaning brush through the opening and along the length of the glass straw. This will return the glass straw to it's original crystal luster. You may repeat this process as often as necessary.

Tips & Warnings
  • Rinse or Soak you glass straws right after they have been used and you will never need a cleaning brush!
  • When placing glass straws in the silverware basket, make sure to give them their own compartment, away from the silver ware or other utensils.
